Dubai: Pakistani community members in the UAE will celebrate their National Day on the 23rd of March.
Pakistan Association in Dubai (PAD) will launch several events starting from March 16 to March 24. This year’s theme of Pakistan Day, is ‘Main bhi Pakistan Hun, Tum bhi Pakistan hu’ (I am also Pakistan and you are also Pakistan).
The events ranges from educational events to entertainment, musical, cultural and social events. Traditional Pakistani cuisines will be offered. The entry is free and the venue is open from 4pm to 11pm daily. The total 40 stalls would provide Pakistani products, folk music and dances and live food corner.
Dr Ziaul Hassan, president of the PAD said “Our aim is to portray soft image of Pakistan and to provide the community members in the UAE an opportunity to mark Pakistan Day in a befitting manner.”
Many activities will be done, like rifle shooting, fun games, karate and competitions like, national song competition, dress competition and art competition.
The PAD will invite other expatriates communities in hopes to give them more insight about the Pakistani culture and traditions.
The event is big and filled with many activities in hopes to bring the Pakistani expats together and at the same time raise awareness of the Pakistani cultural.
